Spain, March 2009 and May 2010
It was a day like any other: early wake up, and then on the road, riding our motorbikes until dusk, through the tiniest and curliest roads of Spain. We made a point of looking for the least known ones: often not paved, where you always find interesting people and places.
So, on a day like any other, we ended up at sunset in La Alberca, a small village in Sierra de Francia, where the austere houses are built using stones, wood and plaster, and the whole village feels gloomy and dark. But that was balanced by a joyful and noisy group of kids that turned the main square into their football pitch, using the stone pillars as gates.

We spent two weeks in 2009 and then again two more weeks in 2010. Always off season, and off the beaten tracks, and Spain has rewarded us with a fantastic experience, great hospitality, and the sun shone most of the time!
